Choosing brush cutters

The 52cc NTB520 family (1.65 kW, 1E44F engine, 26 or 28 mm shaft) is the workhorse of the range and the model most dealers start with. The 41.5–43cc NTB143 and B45 models are lighter for daily lawn and orchard work. 4-stroke versions with a 35.8cc engine run on straight petrol, with no oil mixing, which suits rental fleets and markets with strict noise rules.

Every brush cutter ships with a metal blade and a nylon trimmer head as standard. Bike-handle or loop handle, colours, shaft length and accessory kits can be configured per order.

Typical applications

  • Rice, sugarcane and wheat field weeding
  • Orchard and plantation maintenance
  • Roadside, rail and canal verge clearing
  • Landscaping and lawn edging
  • Hilly terrain with backpack models

Brush Cutters FAQ

What is the difference between a shoulder and a backpack brush cutter?

A shoulder brush cutter carries the engine on the shaft and is lighter and cheaper. A backpack brush cutter carries the engine on your back and drives the shaft through a flexible cable, so it is easier to use on slopes and for long shifts.

2-stroke or 4-stroke brush cutter: which should I stock?

2-stroke models are lighter and give more power for their weight, and they dominate farm markets. 4-stroke models run on straight petrol, are quieter and produce fewer emissions, which suits rental and municipal buyers.

What accessories come with each brush cutter?

A metal cutting blade, nylon trimmer head, harness, tool kit and mixing bottle are typical. Three-tooth, 40-tooth and 80-tooth blades can be added on request.
